Holy Sausage Pizza! @ Lake Tahoe

I'm in Tahoe for the weekend. It's lovely up here. We purchased a bake-at-home sausage pizza from Safeway for dinner last night. I figured out the NI this morning to enter in my Points Tracker. Holy cow! For two slices of this pizza (average pizza slice size) it was 855 calories and 22.5 grams of fat. That's 18 points! I get 23 points in a day. Geezus. Oh well, live and learn. So yesterday I used all my daily points, wiped out my weekly "extra" points and went over by 2.5 points. That pizza did me in. Oh, and the ice cream and 3 glasses of wine. But with something less caloric than the pizza I'd have been fine. Damnit.

Ok, enough whining. It's beautiful, snowing A LOT. I'm a little worried about us getting home tomorrow. Our chains don't help much. Pic time...

Super Yippee Yay!

I lost 3.4 pounds this week and now weigh 178.2 pounds. My goal for the Million Pound Matchup contest I'm doing with Megan (goodlilgirl) was 179. I did it! I'm so excited

I now get my magazines. Ok, I cheated and ordered 2 of them, one a couple of weeks ago and one two days ago, but now I get to order the third, Weight Watchers magazine. Oh, I love reading about fitness and healthy stuff, it's very motivating.

For example, I learned recently that carbs give you a serotonin boost. Serotonin is the brain chemical that makes you feel "good", it's the chemical that anti-depressants increase. That makes so much sense! So the next time I'm craving junk (which usually equals carbs) I'm going to remind myself that I need a serotonin boost and maybe try something else to get it.

My new fun! @ Annadel State Park

I've been staying active with the gym, etc. The etc includes a 10 mile mountain bike ride on Saturday in Santa Rosa, Annadel State Park. What fun! But my tire died. I have to buy a new one, which will be about $50 I'm told. My bike is so old and, ...well, old, that I think I'm going to get a new one. I'm looking at several that are, of course, way beyond my needs, but cool. I'm looking seriously at a Marin brand bike, Hawk Hill. We'll see. I'll be doing research for a bit but I have a ride planned for 4/6 and it'd be nice to have it by then.

Anyway, I weigh in today so we'll see if my work equals a weight loss this week. My body fat % has been creeping down so even if I don't lose I have that to be thankful for.

I'm off to Tahoe this weekend for some snow time. I'm not a skier so I'll just be hanging out, going for a walk or two and sitting by the fire. I'm very excited to get away for a few days. Hope everyone here has been healthy and happy!
